I recently returned from a trip to the deep South with a program called Sojourn to the Past. We literally walked in the footsteps of the Civil Rights Movement. Seriously, one of the greatest experiences of my life. I learned soooo much about the history, and myself.
This is a picture I took of one of my new buddies from NYC holding hands with one of the statues of the Little Rock Nine, in Little Rock Arkansas (duh). I felt it showed exactly what we were learning, how past and present meet, and in one quick moment, can be preserved forever. |
